Match Report – Stirling 2nd XV 26 – 25 2nd XV (Stirling, 11-2-15)
After an extended period without any matches, the Glasgow 2nd XV travelled to Stirling to get their BUCS campaign back track. The lack of game time was apparent with both teams struggling to hold onto possession but Glasgow recorded the first points of the game through a try both scored and converted by stand-off Kyle Henderson. However Stirling responded from the restart, and scored a try in the corner which was also converted. Stirling came back again and crossed the line for their second try of the game which went unconverted. A penalty for Glasgow just before half time left the score at 12-10 to the hosts at the break. Stirling started the second half strongly by scoring a converted try but Glasgow responded soon after through a well worked try from Rob Dickson. Craig Rintoul added another try for the visitors, which was soon followed by another Kyle Henderson penalty. Indiscipline from Glasgow led to 4 yellow cards for the team over the course of the game, which Stirling took full advantage of and in the last play of the game scored a converted try to take the win, 26-25. A difficult loss for the boys, who now sit joint 3rd in BUCS 3A with just 2 league games remaining.
