Match Report – 3rd XV 12 – 45 Dundee 3rd XV (Scotstoun, 11-2-15)
The first game back after a long break started promisingly for the 3rd XV against a Dundee side that was made up of mostly 2nd XV players. An early exchange of tries set the game up nicely and on another day, Glasgow might not have passed up a number of scoring opportunities. The two sides went into the break with the score 14-5, but unfortunately a lack of pitch time and fitness cost the the team severely in the second half. Defensive organisation was poor, and with Glasgow starting to tire, it became apparent that the well drilled and conditioned Dundee side were going to come out on top. A couple of breakaway tries early in the first half opened the floodgates for the away side and they ultimately cemented a convincing victory.
