GURFC 3rd XV 45 – 12 St. Andrews 3rd XV
After defeating their 2nd XV last week, the 3rd XV went into the game with a lot of confidence. They got off to a dream start, Matty Smith and Matty McConnell dotting down inside 8 minutes with stand-off Tom Marsh adding both conversions from out wide before going off injured. Slack defence allowed St. Andrews back into the game at 14-5, but the Glasgow pack seized control. Tries from John Willison, Daniel Moore, Charlie Thompson and a penalty try were all converted by James Hearn, who also added a penalty for good measure. A late consolation for St. Andrews gave a final score of 45-12. Another bonus point win for Glasgow who’s unbeaten season marches on.
